holiday? let's go to Gondopurowangi Borobudur

ok, good people. lets continue our journey.

last weekend My friend and I went to Gondopurowangi. it is located in Kenalan, Borobudur, Magelang. it is new destination in Borobudur. Now it still free. because the local governments has not formalized it. we went there around 4 pm from Lotus 2 homestay,  at there we enjoyed the beatiful sunset. it was perfect sunset ! wOW ... hmmm, tired? of course , because we have to walk up the stairs. and it is quiet far and high.  if you want to go there, make sure,you bring enough water.
we need to 40 minutes to arrive there. we rode motorcycle. this place is very recomended for you who wants to enjoy the holiday. it is very nice place. this destination is suitable for enjoying sunrise or sunset. I recommend you to visit this place.
the day has begun dark, we have to back to Lotus 2. hmm, it was very nice holiday.

my favorite guests

welcome back to my blog....

well, as long as I training here, I have my favourite guest.  they came from French. her name is Paula Gonzales. usually I call her Paula. she is nurse in their country. she came with her friend, Charles. he is an architect.  they spent 2 nights in Lotus 2 homestay.  so we close enough. hehehe.  they are very kind, when they met us, they always smile. they are very open minded. so, we enjoyed do coversation with them. we were taught their languange too. we told them about beatiful Indonesia, and the culture. we also introduced about traditional food from magelang.
in the afternoon they explored Borobudur. They visited Gereja ayam and Borobudur Temple.
at 7 pm they went to budhist monastery , but we didnt join with them.

after from Borobudur thay went to Lombok. I hope they have a great holiday. 

before they check out from here, they hugged me and said thankyou. it sign that we are close and they felt comfortable. I was very happy at that time.  wkwkwk

besides Paula, I have guests from French too. they came here with their big family. they had long holiday, so they visited Indonesia to  enjoy their holiday. 

we explained about Borobudur. we told them around borobudur. we use a map to make easy we explained.  

well, guys ..I want to eat breakfast first. so, see you later ..

enjoying sunset

good morning good people...
in this beautiful morning, I wanna share you about my experience when I enjoyed sunset in Borobudur. when the evening is come, the sunset is very beautiful. In this occasion, I would like to introduce my new friend from belgium. they are couple. as real as they were the guest of Rumah Dharma homestay. they are very beautiful and handsome. hehehehehehee. at that time my friend and I had free time, so, we explored Borobudur again. we decided to visit our friend who in Rumah Dharma homestay. after we arrived there, there were a couple who enjoying the sunset. we asked permission to join. they are so welcome to us. we talked too much. we enjoyed the sunset together

learning how to make batik

Batik is both an art and a craft, which is becoming more popular and well known in the West as a wonderfully creative medium. The art of decorating cloth in this way, using wax and dye, has been practised for centuries. In Java, Indonesia, batik is part of an ancient tradition, and some of the finest batik cloth in the world is still made there. 

Talking about Batik, I have learned before how to make it. before I explained about it, let me introduce my friend, his name August. i am sorry for August friend, I forget the name.  They came from Morocco. They spent 2 days in Lotus 2 homestay. When they have free time, they just enjoy the day in homestay. So, we invited to chat. At that time, we talked too much. we talked about the season in Indonesia, and we compared it with their country. 

after that, we told at that day we had a schedule to study how to make batik. after they heard about this, they were curious. well, we invited them to learn how to make batik together. 

there was something funny when we want to leave. One of them is afraid with motorcycle. I dont know why, So some of us we rode bicycle, included me. Imagine, from Lotus 2 homestay to Gejagan I had to ride bycycle. Tired? of course. But, Its OK. 

after we arrived in batik factory, we made a design. before that , make sure all the material are ready. the material and the equipments had been prepared by jack's friend. thankyou so much Mr. Jack.
at there we were learned how to make batik until the coloring process.

Cycling

well, good people...
I wanna ask you. What do you do when you have spare time? playing gadget? watching TV? Playing game or what?

when we had spare time in afternoon- evening, its mean no guest in homestay, my friend and I  go arround Borobudur. In Lotus 2,there are many bicycle. We rode arround Borobudur. We went to conservation house, we call  Balkondes. We visited Balkondes Tuksongo. It is located at Tuksongo, Borobudur. It is about 2 kilometers from Lotus 2 homestay.

you know that cycling is fun. if you have spare time or you have a holiday, you may try this activities. besides is healthy, cycling can burn the fat faster. hehehe

ok guys, that's  all my story when I was in Balkondes Tuksongo.

Selogriyo I am Coming

The next special guest is Thomas. He came from French.  He is a handsome boy and still single. Wkwkwk  

In his country, he is the owner of café at there. He came to Indonesia alone. Borobudur and Selogriyo  temple are the series of his vacation.  Fifi, Mas Nuri , Thomas and I visited Selogriyo temple. We rode motorcycle. We started at 9 a.m. and we arrived around 10. We parked our motorcycle in one of the villager. After that we had to walk around 2 kilometers, OMAIGOD!!!! It was too hot. But, it was OK I never visited Selogriyo temple. So, my friend and I continue our journey.

a little explanation about selogriyo temple. Candi Selogriyo is a Hindu temple and faces east, built approximately 9th century. In 1998, erosion hit this temple, that later the position was moved to new place that is not vulnerable. The reconstruction finished in 2000. This temple is standing on Giyanti Hill, This tample is beatiful,but after we arrived at the top of the temple, the temple is still renovation time. Actually a bit disappointed, but its Okayy. hehehe

After one hour enjoying the beauty around the temple, we went back down. Imagine  that at 11.40 am we walked exactly under the sun, huaaaaaaa -_-   so hawwwtt

 

Time feels so fast, after we arrived in parking area, my friend and I said goodbye to Thomas and also Mas Nuri. Because at 1 o'clock we had to  be on campus to collect our assignment. So,we went to campus first. We felt sad. but now its not hehehe . bacause of what? can you guess it? hayoooo

saturday night with spain girls

Saturday night in Lotus 2 ? Why not!  Mutia and I spent our night at Lotus 2 homestay. We accompanied 3 girls from Spain. They are our friends.  One of my friend is named Julie. Julie and her friends spent one night in Lotus 2 homestay. At that night, we were talking too much. Mutia and I introduce Indonesia and the culture. We Explained what we know. We dont forget to introduce spesial food in Magelang too. We told about fried rice. They enjoyed the fried rice that we made. wkwkw

ow yaaa, at the afterfoon they bought 3 pcs of salaks. They didn't know how to eat that fruit. They asked mutia and I how to peel of it. So, we explained about it. and then practiced it. They were very anthusiasm. Because they really don't know before, so they were attentive to what we said.

Welcome back guys,  in this afternoon I want to share about my day with the guest.
In my first week in Lotus 2 there were a couple from US. His name is John. He’s from Florida, US. At that day, we tour together around Borobudur. First, we visited home industry of tofu. We went there not alone , one of the staff accompanied us.

 and then, after that we visited pottery village or usually we call it Omah Gerabah. At this place John and I try to make one of the pottery. we were happy.

yuhuuuu, lets continue our trip. After we visited pottery village we visited civet cofffe maker and seller. It is located near Pawon temple. we were explained how to make delicious coffe. At this place we saw a real civet. It was my first time heheheh.

FYI. it was my first guiding the guest. hehehe

Hallo, good people. Welcome back to my blog!! Have you eaten breakfast? 

Today, I will share you about busy morning in Lotus 2 homestay.  Are you ready to read my story? Don’t forget to prepare the best snacks to enjoy my story. Wkwkwkw. LET’S READ …

At this time, I will share something related hospitality at Lotus 2 homestay. They are:

1. Cooking 

Every day or when my friend and I are in morning shift, the first place that we check is kitchen. At this place, we were taught how to cook. Usually we cook fried rice, fried noodles, and also toast.  We are learned how to garnish and serve the food. FYI, all of the staff there, they are very kind and also patient. They gladly taught us all. 

Besides cooking breakfast for the guests, we also cooked other food for all the staff and us.  

One day, my friend and I cooked empek-empek. Typically food originating from Palembang. We ate this snack together, with dipping sauce of the Maknyooos sour sauce. Huuuumm yummy.

On another day, we cooked traditional food originating from Magelang itself. Namely “nasi kluban” you know what is nasi kluban?  Kluban is vegetables mixed with spicy sweet coconut spices or we call It “urap”. Usually many vagetables are mixed,such as spinach,cabbage, sprouts, and the others. For the topping, we use boiled eggs. We also cooked red and white porridge. This series of food is made on certain days, such as birthday, rice harvest day, and othe special days. With the aim of being given the salvation of God.

Well, good people. Actually we cook different menu every day. Because the limited time(-_-) I just need it. heheheh

2. Cleaning up the room 

After breakfast, the guests usually check out from homestay. It’s time for us to work again. We replaced the sheets and pillow cases with clean ones. After that we swept the floor and then mopped it up.

  We also replaced the towels and the soap with new one. Don’t forget, we checked the garbage bag, we replaced it with the new bag, so that it always looks clean.

well, the next activity is...

  3. Washing the dishes 

a         The activity that we do every day is washing the dishes. It has become our habit after cooking. For who had never washed the dishes at home, at this homestay we were taught to wash dishes as new hobby. Wkwkwk the dishes

OK, good people I think thats all... because I should take a bath first, see yaaa!!.

my first day

          Hello guys, I haven't written this blog for a long time. How are you all? I hope you are in a good condition. In this occasion I want to share my activities for 1 month at one of the homestay in Borobudur. Are you ready guys? 

oww yaash, for those who don't know me, introduce my self first, 

I am Uswatul Khoiriyah. I am a Tidar University student. Now it's entering my final year hehhe

          First of all we were assigned to the campus to take part in all the activities at the homestay. 

The first day we came, we introduced the family and staff who worked at the Lotus 2 homestay.
